Semaphores in Scotland: No 170414 passing Errol, about half way between Dundee and Perth, on 9 August 2017. Ian Lothian

At that price it is almost worth taking it just for the peak time leg on Southeastern, and chucking the East Coast journey. But I do want to go to Scotland, so I cash in on my good fortune and splash out with a First Class ticket at double the price – £60.
