Riding with Pride: the new livery applied to Pendolino No 390119 by Avanti West Coast.
Avanti West Coast has launched the UK’s first fully wrapped Pride train. 11-car Pendolino No 390119 has received a new livery including the colours of the most recent iteration of the Pride flag, which adds the colours black, brown, light blue, pink and white to bring people of colour, transgender people and those living with or who have been lost to HIV/AIDS to the forefront.
The reliveried train was launched on 25 August on the 09.00 Euston to Manchester Piccadilly service, which was staffed entirely by members of the LGBTQ+ community. Avanti says the livery will be a permanent feature, and is launching a competition to name the train, with the winning name to be announced in October.
