Class 22000 powerpack maintenance deal renewed
LH GROUP, part of Wabtec UK, has extended its long-standing relationship with Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail) through a new powerpack maintenance contract for the Class 22000 fleet.
The latest contract began in January and runs for five years, with the option of a one-year extension.
Based at Barton-under-Needwood, near Burton-on-Trent, LH Group’s core business is the overhaul of power transmissions for rail industry customers in the UK, Ireland and across Europe. It has also carried out work for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute and Ministry of Defence, but rail is the group’s central focus, with the Irish contract accounting for around 18% of its turnover.
