HST leased for research

PORTERBROOK HAS leased a High Speed Train to the University of Birmingham for the testing and development of a range of digital and decarbonisation innovations.

The organisations worked together to develop HydroFlex, the UK’s first full-size hydrogen train, and Porterbrook says the move is part of its continued commitment to the UK Rail Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN), of which the University of Birmingham is a lead member.
