EXCITING STATION PROSPECTS

High Speed 2

On 17 July 2017 the shortlist was revealed for design contracts for new stations at Birmingham Curzon Street, Birmingham Interchange and Old Oak Common, as well for the London terminus and a Euston Master Development Partner for HS2. The station design contracts will develop and refine detailed designs for the three new stations and the London terminus, while the Euston Master Development Partner contract will encompass a broader canvass to make the most of the considerable opportunities afforded by redeveloping and expanding the existing station.

HS2 Chief Executive Mark Thurston said: ‘This is a major milestone for the project, setting the scene for the next stage of the station design process. Together with the successful bidders, we will go on to deliver one of HS2’s most tangible legacies – three brand new stations and the long-term transformation of Euston. All four projects represent exciting opportunities to showcase the very best in engineering and design while also delivering value for money’.
