FELTHAM REBUILDING

FELTHAM STATION in south west London is to be partially rebuilt by December 2019, Network Rail has confirmed.

The first phase of work was set to begin in September, with the installation of a second entrance on platform 1, providing step-free access and improved bus interchange. NR says the work, delivered with contractor Osborne, will provide longer platforms, step-free access and a new bridge for cyclists and pedestrians to cross the railway, allowing Feltham West level crossing to close next March. The project is a partnership with Hounslow Council and Transport for London which aims to reduce dwell times at the station.
