HARTING Railway Web-Seminar focuses on upgrades and retrofitting

HARTING’s series of Railway Web-Seminars are examining the most important trends in the railway industry. In March, the focus turns to ‘Solutions for upgrade and retrofit’.

When operators are looking to overhaul their fleet, there are certain standards and measures that must be met, including high reliability, low maintenance costs, simple, error-free operation, and compliance with safety.

One method of improving flexibility and increasing retrofit options is to replace so-called ‘hard-wired’ interfaces with highly flexible, space and weight-optimised connector solutions.

‘Plug and play’ modular connectors and pre-assembled cable sets from HARTING are an efficient and cost-effective solution for overhauling rail vehicles. What’s more, their modularity makes them ideal for future-oriented retrofit and expansion projects.

Join the web-seminar live on Wednesday 31 March to learn how to reduce operating and maintenance costs by using plug and play solutions. You’ll also discover how to meet current rail-relevant standards with clever, retrofittable solutions and systems for expanding networks to transmit high data rates.

There are four webinars in the series and you only need to register once to gain access to all four sessions. The first two web-seminars are available on demand now and look at ‘Powerful interfaces for high-speed data transmission’ and ‘High-performance interfaces for high currents and voltages’. The final session, ‘Energy efficiency through weight reduction’, takes place on Thursday 22 April.
