HS2 sets diversity standard in rail engineering

High Speed 2 has signed the Race at Work Charter

High Speed 2's annual Equality, Diversity and Inclusion report for 2020/21 says the company is continuing to improve the diversity of its workforce.

High Speed 2 Ltd is exceeding the infrastructure sector average for women in employment with 38% of its staff female against 21% in the sector.

It has also met its increased target for recruiting Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff, with 21% of employees from those backgrounds.

Disability Confident Leader status has been secured by HS2 Ltd, and four Tier 1 suppliers - EKFB, SCS JV, Aecom and Atkins - are also securing accreditation.
