International presence at RVE Meet The Buyer

BOTH DOMESTIC and international companies will attend Modern Railways RVE in October to participate in the popular Meet The Buyer event.

Following a highly successful event in 2018, which saw 28 individual buyers meet nearly 100 suppliers at over 200 appointments, Rail Forum Midlands is again co-ordinating RVE Meet The Buyer in partnership with the Department for International Trade. The 2019 Modern Railways RVE show and Meet The Buyer will take place on 3 October at the Derby Arena.

Alstom, CAF, Hitachi and Siemens have all confirmed already that they intend to send buyers to the show again, with more firms expected to confirm attendance over the coming months. Rail Forum Midlands is also planning to approach a wider range of UK buyers to broaden the opportunities for the supply chain to do business at Modern Railways RVE.

Meanwhile, RVE Meet The Buyer will also take on a more international flavour, and the Department for International Trade is sending out invitations to bring global rail buyers to the Derby show.

The growing RVE Meet The Buyer event makes the show an essential for all companies involved in the railway vehicles and enhancements sector. Rail Forum Midlands is currently developing the supplier application process ready to launch in the spring, with more details to follow.

Exhibitors at Modern Railways RVE this year will benefit from enhanced opportunities to engage with buyers at the event, in addition to meeting the wide range of visitors attending the show itself. Plans are also in hand for the Modern Railways RVE conference, which will return with a wide range of topical presentations pertinent to the rolling stock sector.
