MANAGING IN THE MIDLANDS

In the first of an occasional series about the lives of railway employees, PHILIP SHERRATT meets NATASHA GRICE, Virgin Trains’ General Manager for the London to West Midlands route

Natasha Grice is a people person. She enjoys nothing better than being out and about meeting customers and staff. Having assumed the role of General Manager, EBW (Euston- Birmingham-Wolverhampton) last November, she is relishing the opportunities it gives her.

As GM, Natasha looks after over 1,000 frontline personnel on a route carrying 12 million passengers a year. She is responsible for the Virgin station staff and on-board crews, as well as for the railway estate. And the provision of a high-quality customer experience is at the heart of her ethos.
