SWR has ordered 60x10-car and 30x5-car sets for its suburban routes in south west London. The original Manufacture and Supply Agreement included an option for an additional two 10-car trains, but this has now been extended to an option for up to five 10-car sets, exercisable on or before 30 September 2020. Should the option be exercised the lease rates will be based on the prevailing financing rates at the time the option is exercised. SWR has also entered into a Technical Services and Spares Supply Agreement (TSSSA) with Bombardier for maintenance support services for the new fleet, with the cost per train for any additional units expected to be the same as the terms of the existing TSSSA.
