I know I am biased; I never liked the concept of the Intercity Express Programme and its Government-procured replacement fleets for the Great Western and East Coast main lines. I could spend a couple of pages saying ‘I told you so’, but who wants that? Instead I thought I would ask a few top people in the industry what they thought of IEP, and to shed some light on how it was created. In order to get real opinions, I guaranteed anonymity.
