Register now for Modern Railways RVE

Busy show: momentum is growing for the 2019 Modern Railways RVE event, with visitor registration now open.
Returning exhibitor: the Chrysalis Rail stand at Modern Railways RVE 2018.

VISITOR REGISTRATION is now open for the leading event in the UK rolling stock calendar – Modern Railways RVE. Held annually at the Derby Arena, the event is the only single-theme show focusing on the maintenance, enhancement and refurbishment of rail vehicles. Now in its seventh year, this year’s event is being held on Thursday 3 October between 10.00 and 16.00.

As well as a showpiece exhibition for engineering, maintenance, graphics and technology companies, Modern Railways RVE includes a free rail conference and RVE Meet the Buyer – an opportunity for buyers from some of the leading names in rail to meet suppliers in a pre-booked, formal setting. As announced last month, four leading industry speakers are already confirmed for this year’s conference.

Nearly 1,000 visitors attended last year’s Modern Railways RVE show, the first under the ownership of Modern Railways magazine, with the 2019 event set to be bigger and better still. 22% of visitors to the 2018 show were at director level and above, meaning Modern Railways RVE is a place where business is done. You can register for your free ticket now by visiting www.rve-expo.co.uk/ online-registration. More information about the event is available on the recently revamped Modern Railways RVE website at www.rve-expo.co.uk.

STADLER SIGNS UP FOR RVE MEET THE BUYER

A highlight of Modern Railways RVE is the Meet The Buyer event.

Orchestrated by Rail Forum Midlands and the Department for International Trade, RVE Meet the Buyer is a proven format that puts top buyers across the table from the suppliers they need to meet. At the 2018 event, 28 individual buyers met nearly 100 suppliers at over 200 booked appointments, and the number of meetings arranged in 2019 is sure to surpass that.

Alstom, CAF, Hitachi, Porterbrook and Siemens have all confirmed that their buyers will be participating again, with more firms confirming attendance all the time. Rail Forum Midlands is planning to approach a wider range of UK buyers to broaden the opportunities for the supply chain to do business at Modern Railways RVE.

Meanwhile, RVE Meet The Buyer will also take on a more international flavour this year as the Department for International Trade has also been sending out invitations to bring global rail buyers to the Derby show, and its first confirmed success is the participation of Swiss manufacturer Stadler.

The growing RVE Meet The Buyer event makes the show essential for all companies involved in the railway vehicles and enhancements sector. Rail Forum Midlands is currently finalising the supplier application process with the application available from the Modern Railways RVE website shortly. To ensure that you are made aware as soon as the forms are available, sign up for the event newsletter on the website or follow the event on LinkedIn.

Exhibitors at Modern Railways RVE this year will benefit from enhanced opportunities to engage with buyers at the event, in addition to meeting the wide range of visitors attending the show itself. Plans are in hand for a networking breakfast before the show opening with exhibitors and RVE Meet The Buyer delegates invited.

PORTERBROOK AND FISA SIGN UP AS SPONSORS

Modern Railways RVE is delighted to confirm support from two returning sponsors, FISA and Porterbrook. Both companies sponsored the 2018 show, with Derby-based rolling stock asset management firm Porterbrook set to return in 2018 as a platinum sponsor.

Meanwhile, Italian seating supplier FISA, which has recently made significant inroads into the rolling stock market in the UK, has renewed its silver sponsorship of Modern Railways RVE. The companies join Derby-based firm Garrandale, which had already confirmed its status as a silver sponsor for the show.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available – if you are interested in promoting your company at Modern Railways RVE please contact James Farrell at james.farrell@keypublishing.com.
