SOUTH WESTERN Railway has introduced summer Saturday services running to Corfe Castle on the Swanage Railway.
The service began on 26 May and will run on Saturdays until 8 September, with a direct service from Salisbury via Yeovil and Weymouth and then running to Wareham and over Swanage Railway metals to Corfe Castle, returning in the afternoon. In between these services SWR will also operate shuttles between Wareham and Corfe. The operator is offering a £5 special return fare from South Dorset to Corfe Castle, with a £10 return from South
Wiltshire, North Dorset and South Somerset. The Swanage Railway is also offering a discounted return steam train fare to Swanage of £10 for passengers travelling to Corfe on one of the SWR services.
