A digest of the main changes on Network Rail, London Underground and Northern Ireland Railways infrastructure during January 2020; compiled by Martyn Brailsford of the Branch Line Society (www.branchline.uk).

January, as is the norm, was a quiet month, however alterations took place at a number of locations, including Claydon LN&E Junction and Norwich Victoria Sidings.

ANGLIA

Ripple Lane Area (2:4A)

As part of the Barking Riverside project, Ripple Lane West Yard Siding 3 has now been removed.

Dullingham (1:11C)

Due to the introduction of new rolling stock, new ‘S Car’ marker boards at Dullingham (10M 54ch) have been introduced, these have altered the operational lengths of the platforms. Platform 1 now has an operational length of 85 metres (93 yards). Platform 2 now has an operational length of 80 metres (88 yards) in the Up direction, whilst the boards in the Down direction remain unaltered (77 metres/84 yards).
