A digest of the main changes on Network Rail, London Underground and Northern Ireland Railways infrastructure during February 2020; compiled by Martyn Brailsford of the Branch Line Society (www.branchline.uk).

February saw the commissioning of the new signalling on the Yarmouth and Lowestoft lines, the opening of Worcestershire Parkway station and the extension of the sidings at Redbridge, Southampton.

ANGLIA

Norwich to Yarmouth and Lowestoft (2:8/8A)

A major resignalling scheme has been commissioned which affects the existing Down and Up lines between Whitlingham Junction (exclusive) and Lowestoft, the existing single line between Brundall Junction and Yarmouth, the existing single line between Oulton Broad North Junction and Oulton Broad South and the existing single line between Reedham Junction and Yarmouth.

Brundall Junction (BL), Acle (A), Yarmouth (Y), Oulton Broad North (OB) and Lowestoft (L) signal boxes have all been abolished with control transferred to two new workstations at Colchester PSB:
