Trackwatch

A digest of the main changes on Network Rail, London Underground and Northern Ireland Railways infrastructure during November 2020; compiled by Martyn Brailsford of the Branch Line Society (www.branchline.uk).

This month, amongst other items, we report on the work that has taken place at Leeds and also on the York to Harrogate line.

ANGLIA 

Between Cambridge and King’s Lynn (2:11C & 12A) Platform extension works have taken place at Waterbeach and Littleport. At Waterbeach (61M 01ch) platform 1 (Up) has been extended by 77 metres (84 yards) to have a new operational length of 167 metres (183 yards), whilst platform 2 (Down) has been extended by 81 metres (89 yards) to likewise have a new operational length of 167 metres (183 yards). At Littleport (76M 02ch) platform 2 (Down) has been extended by 82 metres (90 yards) to have a new operational length of 167 metres (183 yards). Between Witham and Braintree (2:5D) New House Farm No 43 User Worked Crossing (UWC) at 21M 65ch has been closed, with the decking, gates and telephones recovered. New fencing has been provided.
