High Speed 2 means Euston station is expanding to the west. Before the bulldozers move in there’s a chance for one last look at what’s there now before all is lost, irrevocably. And so upon arrival at Euston from the suburbs I turn sharp right to platform 17 and beyond, past reception, to the side entrance where staff mingle with a handful of passengers having a last-gasp cigarette before railway regulations apply.
