VICTORIA LINE 36TPH WINDOW EXTENDED

FROM 4 November Transport for London extended the window of 36 trains per hour (tph) operation on the Victoria Line from 90 minutes to three hours in the morning and evening peaks.

The 36tph service was introduced at peak times in May 2017. The frequency increase followed the line’s signalling upgrade, with the Siemens system upgraded. The 36tph service previously operated between 08.15 and 09.45 and 17.00 and 18.30 on weekdays, but under the new timetable will operate between 07.15 and 10.15 and between 16.15 and 19.15. TfL says the new timetable increases capacity by a further 5%. Outside peak times trains run every 135 seconds.

Seven Sisters sees more services: Victoria Line 2009 stock on 31 October 2018.
